The archive of Johnny Two Shoes
by meridimus
A lot of you have been tracing the JTS flash game legacy to me via LinkedIn and Reddit -- primarily calls for Attak and other games, like Catch of the Day.
It's taken me a while to get things together. I've been hunting down files on old hard drives and SD cards, looking for passwords for AWS accounts and filtering my personal emails a million different ways.
In the end, it was Google Drive and an old GitLab server, forgotten and subsequently abandoned 13 years ago.
Today marks the first part of the attempt: some of the flash games you've asked about are playable on a new domain, johnnytwoshoes.games -- notably Attak is playable for the first time in a long time.
Throughout my digging and communication with Josh, my brother, and Mark, a close friend who used to work with us at Johnny Two Shoes, I've started this journey to archive the things you've seen before, the things we spoke about and the other stuff that never saw the light of day.
It will start with the treasure trove of games. Some may never make it back, but I may find a way to rebuild them -- let's just take it one step at a time!
It would be nice to reintroduce accounts, game saves and the forum. It would be nice to say hi to some of you again!
So for now, thanks for showing up and seeing what's going on. Things might look a little strange, but over time we'll get it all tidied up and bring a fresh lick of paint to the palace of Johnny Two Shoes.
Thanks.
