Plunderland and iPhone 4

How a developer chooses to support new hardware is a tough decision, especially when a device is kept so secret and then launched into the public domain with a launch date less that a month from announcement.
I'm talking about the iPhone 4 and how we decided what to support in the first release of our new game Plunderland. Following rumour sites helped us understand a little bit of what Apple were trying to achieve with the launch, it seemed that a huge resolution jump could be expected so we started making the game artwork deliberately more detailed than it needed to be so we could take advantage at launch if the resources were there.
Which iPhone 4/iOS4 features will Plunderland support at launch?
- Multi-tasking, if you get a call in the middle of a game it pauses the game so when the call is over, you can jump straight back into it.
- Retina display support on all our menu and in-game graphics.
By supporting iPhone 4 are we delaying the launch date of Plunderland?
No, Plunderland was designed from the start to be scalable because we wanted to support the iPad. The iPad version of Plunderland will ship after the iPhone version is completed.
When can we expect to see Plunderland in the App Store?
Plunderland is currently in the testing stage of development, we have finished the game and have been spending our time playing the game to death trying to break it. Also, we're working on implementing the tutorial part of the game.

Cannot wait to play Plunderland. I have no doubt that it'll help balance out the huge, crushing disappointment that was GodFinger.
