Eye Pet and Gesture Technologies

There is a lot of hype about the future of "input devices". What this means is that technology like Sony Eye Toy and Microsoft's Natal are going to try and grab some of the Wii market.
Project Natal is all gesture based, Sony has it's own gesture based system that's been around since the PS2 but with a better quality camera and more processing power they have been able to extend the capabilities in to the realm of what players expect from gesture recognition.
Sony also has additional plans to introduce a wand controller like the Wii, but with a more precise mapping to your gestures.
So, Microsoft has Natal which is purely gestures based on movement alone, Nintendo has the wiimote that relies on gyroscope tracking in an environment and Sony has pure gesture based and the additional combination of both technologies with a wand as well to allow rotation and positioning in combination.
Who will be the victor in all of this? Microsoft is selling a single camera, Nintendo is selling additional accessories (Motion plus) to make their controllers more competitive and Sony gives you the choice of either technology or to combine them to make an even more accurate and powerful experience.
Here's a video of the upcoming Eye Pet game to whet your appetite for these future gesture technologies.
